Here are some samples from Ford accessories sales brochures from 1970, 71 & 72, that I found here in Fordification. Between the three of them, they are pretty much the same thing, only different. :D

Put my winch on this weekend. the winch is a 1981 model 8274 8,000lb on its original warn bumper. somebody added the brush guard with lights but I liked it so I left it. here are a couple pictures putting it on and a pic sitting in my driveway, thought id drudge up this thread and add to it!

As promised, here is what I came up with for a home made push-bar for the winch bumper on my truck. Nothing fancy, but I figure it will help protect the old winch riding out front, and I can still get in there to operate from the front if needed. I even put a couple of tabs on the back of the middle tube for lights to be put on later, guess they wont be the old time looking ones like I wanted. Will probably go with the modern small ones they make now a days. Need to fabricate up some hitch points for a clevis to hook a snatch block or such to next, or the big weld on D-rings, not sure which is the better way to go. Any opinions from fellow off roaders?

Looks like I'll be building a bumper sooner than later. I hit a frigging fire hydrant and bent the passenger side beyond repair. :(

I have done a sketch, but can't post it because I can't get on this site on my computer. Anybody else having that problem. Works fine on my cell phone. I don't have problems with any other sites. Just this one!!!!

Edit: Fixed spelling due to the spell correct errors on my cell phone and added a sketch.
This is what I have in mind:

Just picked this up, for $200, its getting a little restoration work, while FrankinFord is under the knife.

I do not know if the winch works yet, if it does i will have to figure out the breaking system...Its old. Today everything got strip off of it and tomorrow, i will hopefully finish wire wheeling it and start painting it.
