License Plate Light

Post by DMikeM »

Noticed my bulb was broke off and the housing was damaged too so I got a new shiny chrome bulb housing. But when I pulled off the old unit I see no wire to the back of it. The only wire I see near this unit was hanging out of some trailer wiring harness wrapped up under the bumper and frame. Tried that wire and nothing happens. Anyone know where the wire normally comes from on the F250 Camper Special?

Hi! I tried to take a pic of mine, see if this helps. The main harness on the driver's side splits when it gets to the back. There is a single wire that ends in a bullet connector where I have marked "connector". The wire for the licence plate light that I have marked "wire" plugs into that connector.

I don't remember seeing that harness under there but it was getting dark. Will take a look in that area later.
Thanks.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Couldn't find what 68F250 was talking about so Sunday I will go up around the corner and look under the identical truck that has been sitting in this lot for 2 years.

I so want to find out the owners number and see if they want to sell it. I would bet it belonged to someone that passed on and the children don't know what to do with it.
