Looks good, similar to mine but I went with the earlier mustang 5 speed, what do you plan to do about shifter position?

I thiiiiink I can flip the shifter linkage backwards and get a lot closer to where it needs to be. I still may have to do a little chopping/ rewelding to make it work. Once I get the cab back on i plan on trying to figure that situation out, the remote shifter makes it a pain for sure.

Dude, that's looks awesome! Very nice color choice, and a very custom look going with the body color core support and inners. Can't wait to see it all start to come together. That's what I love about these trucks and this site, there are so many different ways to do it, many different style choices to incorporate, and they all look great! What are your other plans, - dressing up the engine any? Interior colors and materials?

Congrats again on the progress!

Thanks. I'm really glad we decided to do all the inner structure in body color, the only thing im a little concerned about is the silver showing thru the grille... As far as the engine dress up, I may paint or powder coat the valve covers blue like the frpp ones. There are a few nice mustang plenum covers out there for the mustangs that I've been scoping out on eBay. Would really like to put a blower on it and do away w the factory intake, but that's gonna have to wait a (long) while.

Oh, as far as interior, I'm sell kinda up in the air on seating/ door panels and such. Whatever I do will be black... I have a nice stock seat that could be redone, but would like to find a 93-95 lightning 40/20/40 (good luck I know)

Don't know if your bench will work I haven't go around to mounting my motor yet still looking for a good buy on a 4.6 3v or maybe a 4.6 4v Still dreaming of a coyote :) I plan on using ranger stx seats similar to fox body seats. TMI makes a recover kit to make them look like mach1 or pony mustang seats from the 60s.

Also you are going to meed some kind of slip joint in your driveshaft. I had a plan of using one out of a 4 wheel drive and then getting the cobra flange to mount to the u joint.

Check out this link lots of good info. http://www.classictrucks.com/tech/0905c ... ewall.html

The older style trans would definately fix a lot of my problems. I wish I'd taken pics of the shifter flipped around backwards. When you turn the linkage around it puts it about midway on the trans. I'll have some fab work to do getting it mounted but I'm convinced I can make it work. The motor/ trans only has 28,xxx on it, so I'm going to try my best to work with it. As soon as I get the cab home I'm going to give it another look.

Your right. The driveshaft is gonna be a bit of a pain too....

So I've been making a little progress. Cab is all bolted down, and most of the dash put back together. I got the shifter all modified and installed. Spun the linkage around/ chopped it up and rewelded. Hung the inner fenders and header the other night. Knocking stuff out a little at a time.
