It's been a while since an update. Really been driving it and working out the bugs of a new build. Had issues with the Fitech but turned out a brand new MSD cap was bad letting emi noise mess with the ecu. Installed a new NAPA oem quality cap and it's good. Had to adjust a few things on it but running good. Changed the mufflers out to Dynomax Ultraflows. Like them much better. Now I have been working on the interior some more. Trying to build some panels behind the seats and at the same time working on a stereo system. Not sure why I would mess with a stereo. I would rather here the engine but just something that completes it my mind I guess. Planning on using a powered Kenwood sub under the seat. They offer a small one for that purpose. Hoping to put a bunch of miles on it this spring and summer.

Wow I love it, great job dont know how I missed this thread. Hope you are doing better with the fitech than I. I have it on my '77 and it's been problematic.

Well the self tuning or not so much. Doesn't tune transitions at all, it's up to you. Now that being said I have discovered a fuel pump issue so stand by as I may be eating my hat. I have a fairly thirsty 408.

Going carb on my bump build as it will be more street/a trip and less a cruiser.

Finally finished up the interior panels behind the seats, installed the small kenwood sub, and installed a Kenwood CD player and sub controller in my console. Then mounted MB Quart .5" rear speakers and 4" Rockford Fosgate front speakers just below the dash in the kick panel. One of the things I figured out or was a concern was the back side of the front speaker hanging in the open in the kick panel. So I picked up some foam speaker baffles, pushed them through the opening near the door hing and covered up the speaker. They are staying attached by having speed clips on the screws that that mount the speakers. Then I used the factory radio location to mount my Fitech controller. I am pretty happy with the way it all turned out. Also installed a TMI dash pad. I like it but it does not have enough attachment points.Only 4 so it seems loose near in places. It all worked out really well.
