Just in: vintage Ford Sales/Service record albums

Post by FORDification »

I won this auction on E-bay a while back for this collection of factory training film soundtracks, they finally arrived today. :woohoo:

There are about 70 of these, mostly 33-1/3 LPs but a few 78s. These were sent out by the factory to the dealers, to educate the salesman on each new year's upcoming models and are half of a filmstrip/soundtrack package. I don't have the filmstrips but I do have the soundtracks now.

Actually, there are only a few in this collection that are for our trucks. Some of these concern heavy-duty trucks, station wagons, etc....just a large collection with a little of everything. Some are for Ford sales and some are for Ford service. Topics include selling models like Thunderbird, Ford trucks and the new Pinto. Also selling new & used cars, propecting for customers etc. Service includes power steering, the C-6 transmision and truck suspension. Mant of these are the nice red color from Columbia records made for Ford. They range in date from 1961 - 1971.

The only problem is...I haven't owned a record-player in years! I'm going to have to invest in one now, so I can record these into digital format. I should get some cool sound bytes outta these, huh?

That's cool, I never knew those existed, but now that I see them it makes sense.

Cool :D Those are huge CD's  Probably a bunch of it will be BS but still could be some good listening entertainment from a much simpler time of life. Nice collection, congratulations

Brother Keith: "You Da Man!"

This place never ceases to amaze me... :fr:  :woohoo:   :fr:    :woohoo: :fr:

A couple years back I borrowed a video tape of these FORD commercials that would not be able to be viewed on TV from my Brother. He picked it up when he was at a week long FORD tech school. It's a hilarious compilation of commercials. Some of which are the same people which made legitimate FORD commercials. You probably notice some familiar faces too. I'll ask my Brother if he still has it layin' around so I can borrow it and convert it to be played on the web!
