Bed Mat

Post by RangerRat »

Does anyone know if a rubber bed mat is available specifically for the 67-72 f100? Or if one from a newer model will fit with minor trimming?

Here us a photo of the bed mat I recently installed in my '69. I bought the mat from JC Whitney. It is nice heavy rubber, but have to cut it to fit. Not a big deal though.

Chris, is that one piece, or did you cut some other material to fill in front and back of the wheel buckets?

Chris, if you have the part number or description, please tell us. I looked online at J.C. Whitney and could not find what you have - which is a great solution.

Thanks!

Here is a link to the bed mat I bought:

If for some reason the link doesn't work for you, my invoice shows it listed as part# W16506325

What did you use to trim it to fit?

I used a utility knife with fresh blades. I went through four blades to do the job.

I laid the mat out on the concrete driveway next to the truck. I'm a little anal about getting it right so I probably spent an hour on the project. I wanted the mat symmetrical in the truck bed so I first identified a center line on the mat. I then snapped a chalk line down both edges of the mat and cut the excess. From there I used a large square and took my time cutting out for the wheel wells. We are fortunate that the wheel wells are perfectly square so getting a good fit was easier. I made all my cuts against a 4' long straight edge.

The mat is a little wider and longer than needed so it can be cut to fit perfectly. Good luck!

I looked around and found that a number of places sell the Westin 50-6325 that JC carries. Best price I found today with free shipping is at Jegs - $129. Thanks for the heads-up on the mat. https://www.jegs.com/i/Westin/978/50-63 ... 0UQAvD_BwE

JCW frequently has 15-20% off sales if you register with them. I think I was all in around $130 when I bought my mat.

I don't know anything about it.

So this bed mat that link and part# was posted for is made from two different styles of molded rubber? It looks like regular bed mat in middle part between fender wells and like a diamond plate design in front and behind the fender wells on sides ?? Thanks for any help

Yes. The mat is one piece but it is molded with two styles; regular in the middle and diamond plate on the sides. That is why it is so important to get the center-line of the mat identified so you are trimming from both sides evenly.
