You'll come out far cheaper making your own. Everything I've ever seen will run you $150-$200.

Ditto, depends on what you are doing, driving or concourse resto. Try to avoid any crimp connectors. I like to solder and heat shrink everything, grease it before shrinking if it's going to be driven during the winter.

Factory was probably 16ga. I tend to run 14 ga since it stands up the vibration and overcurrent better. I'll buy a couple bags of blue crimp fittings, peal the blue crimp collar off and solder them to the wiring trying to leave the butt end solder free so the wire is less prone to break that way. Slip some heat shrink over and heat set it.

:yt: only I got tired of peeling off the insulation and bought these. https://www.delcity.net/store/Non-Insul ... 4tEALw_wcB Careful, it's an addiction. Liked it so much I bought this https://www.amazon.com/Terrans-Non-Insu ... 9341&psc=1
 Also made this nifty little jig to hold the wires while I solder them. Easily clamped to any table or bench.

Wait for the opportune time when wifey is out of the house for awhile and have fun like I did wiring my Fairlane with an ATO fuse panel on the living room coffee table

awesome info, the tail light assembly comes with the snap plug connectors, how did you connect your home made wiring harness to the tail light assembly?

thanks again

Several of the regular vendors have light sockets and pigtails https://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_truc ... ckets.html and you can sometimes find them at your local parts stores, in the HELP section, or they can order them. If the pigtail didn't have a matching plug, I improvise with bullet connectors.
