distributor cap

Post by khnaess »

Hello
My 1972 F250 (390 v8) runs a little rough and the engine stalls. Today I inspected the distributor cap and I could feel some electric shock
when I touched the coil wire (where it enters the distributor cap) while the engine was running. Is this normal or is this symptom of bad wires?

Thanks
Knut Håkon

Bad wires or a cracked cap.
