1969 and 1970 bed (with tool box) FREE!

Post by m-mman »

I have TWO beds available.
1969 Cordova and white no tailgate, no tool box
1970 up. all white with tool box and tailgate. Made into trailer, bolted to frame with tires and hitch, ready to tow.

Both are rust free and straight. (typical truck bed loading dings)
Special price for participants of the Fordification Forums. Both OFFERED FREE!!!

I got an original paint tool box bed for my 69 F-100 and now these gotta go. I dont want to scrap them for weight.
They are in the Los Angeles area. Can anybody use them? Come get them.

Yeah it has 3 tires/wheels. Conditions of tires are ok but cannot be guaranteed.
If you tow one you can carry the other.

Why!?!?!?

All the good stuff is never on this coast. I wish there was some way I could come get one of those. Unfortunately I could probably buy a (rough) donor truck for what it would cost me in gas and time off work.

In California we dont know the meaning of rust. Body men have no understanding how to fix it. What I dont understand why rust belt collectors will spend significant funds fixing it when they can ship a rust free car or parts cheaper than paying for the repairs.

FYI - This is what the bottom of a California truck looks like.

I really want them to disappear. I need the space. I dont have an exact time line but if not taken, sadly they both WILL go for scrap.
check out uship.com and see if you can get a cheap bid to ship them.

I'll look into it this week. Looks like I'd have to get some measurements off my truck to post a quote request on uship.

m-mman, browsing through the recent listing on uship I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen due to $$$$, but still willing to post a quote request and see.

If I'm going to do that I need to know length of trailer tongue to tail. Got width off my bed and can guesstimate the height and weight.

Wish I had space to store. I am up here in the San Fernando Valley. I would take the 70.

I am going away for a couple of days I will measure when I get back. There is a tongue but there is also a step bumper . . .

There is a step bumper on the trailer so it measures 9 feet.
The front of the bed to tip of the tongue is 4 feet.
As you see it is leaning up against the wall and the tires are off it, so I have no idea how tall it is.

Was looking for an email, so hadn't thought to look back here.

9+4=13 so I'll call it 14' long for a little cushion. I think I can guess well enough on the height for a quote.

I'll try to get a quote request on uship in the next day or two. My truck seems to be pissed off at me though, so depending on what I find out there I may not be able to do this even if it is a very good price.

FYI I think I recall seeing a few people over on your side of the country posting on a few Facebook groups that they were looking for a long bed recently. Might be worth throwing them on there as well before hauling them off.

Are the beds still available?
I might be able to take one of them.
I am in East LA so I am close by.
Thank you,
Jorge
