I just checked into my front brakes the other day...I think I had one of each of these two drums, a different drum on each side! I think the correct drum for my truck is actually the wider one, the narrow one was not quite wide enough for the shoes.
I just ordered a Duralast 8900 to match what I believe is the correct drum, but we’ll see when it shows up.
The axle on my truck is a ‘73 Dana 44, closed knuckle, standard load rating (non HD)

If I understand correctly this info might help.

Front brake drums 4x4
Centric 12365016
Nominal thickness 76.71 or (3.02")
Dana 44 - 3000lb axle

Centric 12365013
Nominal thickness 84.1 or (3.31")
Dana 44CFHD - 3500lb axle

If you have a buddy with a lathe he could cut that lip back to achieve the drum width you need as long as you dont cut into that stiffener rib. Good luck.
