I'm not much on yellow but i do like that yellow on that slick. And that red definitely screams "LOOK AT ME" Randy!

Well I dug out my differential for the Tbird IRS that was stored in my dad's garage today to start working on it now that I have all the bearings and seals for it.....I had it laid out exactly how it came apart only to find that my dad put everything into a box so now I gotta figure out what went where...... ..........why he did that is yet to be figured out because none of it was in his way.....I really need my own garage........

Here's another color possibility......Ford Deep Wedgewood Blue.....it's a pearl paint with multicolor metallic in it....

I had a Ranger just like this without the ugly cap in that color..... 8)

Got my basement workshop cleaned out so I had someplace to work and got my 8.8 differential back together......I checked it after watching a video on how to do it and everything seems to be ok but I'm gonna have a buddy check it for me just to make sure since I've never done this before.......

Finally got a little work done on making new bushings for the TBird IRS lower control arms. Ford discontinued them and I can't seem to find any at the parts store and from the reading I've done it you make some out of Delrin it will help eliminate wheel hop - there's a place that sells them but by the time I bought all 4 it would be well over $300 so that idea was out. Bought some 3" round stock off Amazon and used the lathe in the tool room after work and here's what I've got so far - these are the set for the rears with the original in the background........

Next step is to turn a couple sleeves to run the mounting bolt thru and do a test fit then if these are right i can measure out the front set....... :D

Had a day where I didn't feel like doing things that needed to get done so I decided to start putting my CV front end together - I had everything except the steering rack and brake calipers and everything cleaned and painted so I though why not turn some wrenches........... :D

It's moving along about as fast as molasses in the winter but this is a no hurry project......this will probably be the longest project update in Fordification history!....... .......took the lower control arms into work and pressed in the new lower ball joints today so maybe I'll get them out on this weekend.......also scored a set of brand new Motorcraft rotors for it for $50 plus shipping - I couldn't touch 1 of them at any parts store for what I paid for the pair off the interwebs.......... 8)

Got a little more done today since it was raining.......lower control arms on and spindles bolted up and put the rotors on to make sure they fit........probably gonna get new calipers and hoses next since I'm still trying to locate a non speed sensitive steering rack for it......none of the numerous parts places I have talked to seem to have no part numbers for it or can even tell me if it comes with or without it......I'm about to go to the junkyard and get one and have it rebuilt.......

Got my used steering rack this week so I bolted it on for now (rebuild coming) so I can get a pair of rims and tires to make it movable - went dumpster diving at work and found a couple old toolbox wheels to weld onto the control arm mounts so I will be able to push it out of the way for now....they are junk and I've got mounts from Outcast autoworks so when I get ready to install it I'll just pitch them..... ...........guess I'll get some work done on my John Deere 110 mower now that that is pretty much done for now......
