Window regulator alternatives

I broke my window regulator the other day. I put all new window seals in and it was just too tight and I ended up just completely snapping some internal component on the regulator and now it doesn't work at all.

I've seen these mostly priced at $70 and I just don't know if its worth buying another one or going powered (nu-relics is pretty expensive though). Any alternatives for a cheaper regulator or even something newer that works with the 68 f100? I saw one on CJ's website for $30 but it had a 1 star review.

I replaced both of mine when I put all new everything in and bought the drivers side regulator from Dennis Carpenter and the passenger side China piece cheaper from another place and the DC piece is night and day quality difference.....they are expensive but well worth the money.........the Carpenter piece is smooth and works easy even with new seals while the Chinese one works hard and isn't smooth........some of the other guys can tell you about the power windows......I've never used that so I can't comment on that......

You might keep an eye on the parts for sale and parts wanted sections in the Fordification website for original used window regulators. There is also a Fordification Facebook that has parts for sale, or parts wanted.

Yeah I've only seen one "cheap" one and it was rated 1 star on CJ Pony Parts. Since my driver one is already broken I've started converting it to power. Let's see if it will work out, if so I've been taking step by step photos

I got a drivers' side regulator from LMC. It looks like the OEM that came out and it works, but I need to replace the channels, etc. because it is stiff going up or down.. The old one was pretty stripped out, and I think it was because of the channels being worn out. The regulator was $69.95 and LMC had everything else I needed:
