"Grandpas72"Looking for reputable machine shop in the Houston Tx area.
Find the nearest drag strip or oval track and walk through the pits asking this, (if no oe here can help)!
That is the best "word of mouth" advertising any machine shop will ever get.
Might even be as easy as looking for that machine shop as a sponsor on the race car itself.

In general...
When interviewing machine shops, ask them bluntly if they are positive about working on Ford engines (a good question to ask for any make of engine, actually). Surprisingly, most will be honest and tell you if they hate working on the brand and model of the engine in question. If they're anything less than fully enthusiastic about and completely familiar with your specific engine, do yourself and them the huge favor of going elsewhere.

Ford engines have their particularities and will require specific techniques to come out right. If the shop is all into maxing out Chevrolet big blocks and small blocks for racing applications, don't even bother with the place. Chances are you're going to pay through the nose for very bad results. Bowtie engines are NOT Blue Oval engines. Bowtie gearheads are convinced everything is worse than Bowtie engines and therefore they're relieved of any responsibility for doing your Blue Oval engine right.

"Fncking Fords. Fncking always leaking. Fncking no power out of them. Fncking boat anchors not worth p!ssing on."

Right, fella. Because you don't know what the hell you're doing with them. Go play with your little bowtie toys and let the men work on a real engine.
