dash lights gone haywire

Post by Goodyfleece »

Hey folks, I am new to posting on the forum, although I read many topics regarding my '72 F250. Auto C6 with the 360 cid, Holley 4. It runs and shifts well. I love it.
The blinkers don't work. Flashers do. Reverse lights don't work, all brake lights and running lights do. When I turn on the lights, fuel gauge gets grounded out and goes to "full" mark. And the Oil Pressure indicator does the same...goes to full. Also, as if that wasn't enough, when I hit the high beams, the left blinker indicator light (orange) lights up bright! Funny stuff, I know.
If there are tasks that I can perform let ME know how to take action, please.
Thank you

Thank you for that. I also replaced a blown fuse for turn signals and it worked, for a little while...maybe 15 mins. Then the fuse blew again
I will check grounding today
