240 carburetor year difference

Post by 67 short box »

the 67 came with an 1101 autolite manual choke. in 68 i think they changed to carter. is there anything wrong changing the 1101 to a carter yf? i dont know if they are jetted the same, ect. using the carter now. went to electronic ignition and the plugs are a light tan color so its not running rich. i can block the spark control valve and still run the 1101 if i need to. thanks

You may want to try http://www.fordsix.com

They have forums and links specifically for the Ford six and there might be some good info for you.
