T5 transmission swap

Post by Blueford1 »

Hey all,

Looking at a Borg warner t5 out of a 1982 chevy s10. Would this work as a swap for my NP 435?

Thanks.

Two things for sure I know is that you'd have to run a transmission adapter plate and flywheel, and you'd have to adapt/marry the "wet clutch" to the truck.
Look for the same T-5 in a Fox body Stang' would make it much easier. :2cents:

You can use an adapter that goes between the bell house and transmission much simpler and cost effective. I posted a little more info on your other post in the engine section
