1965 F100 Front Dana 44 Spider Gears

Post by azazel182 »

I have a 1965 Ford F100 and the front axle needs rebuilt. I ordered gears and bearings and the whole jazz and when I took it apart the spiders are about spent. Luckily I found the bigger 19 spline gears but the little guy spiders have been an issue. They are a 10T with a 3/4" hole BUT the height is where I run into the problem. The original gear is .820 thick. The Units I have sourced locally are .850 thick and .905 thick. I even contacted Yukon gear and even though YPKD44-PG-01 is listed for my model they said they don't think it will work. I am lost and needs this old thing back up and going. I have the breakdown from this site and need 2 of the 4215 but don't know how to order that since it is not a complete number. HELP :)

Welcome to our site!
I can't help you, but you might try
https://broncograveyard.com/
They used to have a good selection of new & used parts.
Dana 44 is Dana 44 it shouldn't matter what brand truck it is.
The different gear ratios can have a different carrier that might make a difference in the spiders.
