Horn works, contact spring does not

Post by 3 Speed »

A jumper wire from the hole for the contact spring to the steering wheel nut fires up the horn.

Cleaned the contact points on the old spring and on the steering wheel horn ring - no horn.

Tried a new contact spring (one I ordered in 2019) - no horn.

Ordering a replacement.

Are these parts finicky? Should I try something else?
