Venturi size question

Post by COOP3 »

I have a 360 engine with a rebuilt carb from previous owner. I noticed 1.08 stamped on it. The spec sheets indicate I should have a 1.21 venturi. My question is will I notice any performance differences if I change to a 1.21 venturi carb? My truck is strictly stock.

Its not going to be 2bll vs 4bbl difference but you should be able to feel it a little bit. I find the 1.08's give me snappy off idle response but feel lacking on the upper end of freeway speeds.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking if I saw a used 1.21 carb at a swap meet, I would rebuild it and try it out.
