Article 928 - Heater Hose Replacement

The heater hoses in air conditioning and heating systems which utilize a water control or shut off valve in the heater water circuits are subjected periodically to high pressure which sometimes results in hose failure. Beginning Job #1, 1967, all car lines will be equipped with new hoses having increased burst strength and greater durability. Also, heater hose replacement intervals have been revised; heater hose replacements on 1966 and 1967 vehicles should now be made concurrent with engine coolant replacement at 36,000 miles or 24 months.

If heater hose failures are encountered on 1966 vehicles, the following hoses should be used:
