Article 2062 - C6 Automatic Transmission - 3-2 Timing Valve Deletion

TSB #131 - January 16, 1970
(All 1970 Vehicles Equipped with C6 Automatic Transmission Assemblies)

Effective in August 1969, new C-6 main control assemblies were released replacing the previous design. The new design main control assemblies have the 3-2 timing valve (Basic No. 7E167) and the 3-2 downshift control spring (Basic No. 7C394) deleted as these parts are now non-functional in the operation of the valve body.

Main control assemblies should not be replaced on the belief that these parts have been mistakenly omitted during assembly thus creating a transmission problem.

Refer to Figure 9 and Figure 10 for the affected valve and spring.
