67 f-100

Post by peanutman »

I'm looking at a 67 bump according to the vin it has a 352 engine. Don't know if it is orig engine. How can i look at engine and tell. Dip stick is on drivers side coming out block above pan. Water pump bottom hose is on same side.
It has a four speed, reverse is up and to the right. Knowing this much will the tranny bolt to my 302. If it is a 352 what other parts can i use :? It did not have a 4 speed orig. Hole was cut in floor to add. At on time it had a hurst type shifter probably had a 3 speed at one time.
This truck does have some good usable parts though- chrome grill, chrome front bumper, complete drive line, int parts and it's free i just have to go get it out of a vine thicket,. Need advise.

Dear peanutman,

I have a 67 F100 2WD LB w/ a 352.

I'm new and learning about Ford Bumpsides, I'm no expert, but it could be teh original engine.

The 352 that you describe is exactly like mine. From all info I have on my truck, it's 352 is original.

Here is a pic of my 352.
